Texas singer-songwriter Jack Ingram, after years on the live circuit, became an overnight success within country music. Now, he's gearing to release his latest CD.

After more than a decade of blazing a path across country music honky-tonks, bars and dance halls, as well as dues-paying on Nashville’s Music Row, country artist Jack Ingram has much to be thankful for these days.

Named the 2008 Top New Male Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music, thanks to his top-selling This Is It! album for Big Machine Records, Ingram currently is preparing to release his newest CD, Big Dreams & High Hopes, later this month.

Singer-Songwriter Dedicates New Country CD to Big Dreamers

The title of the forthcoming record, by Ingram’s own admission, is autobiographical in that it represents the approach he’s taken to his own career, including when it comes to his brand-new album.

In making the 11-track CD, Ingram—who’s been opening shows for big-name headliner Toby Keith as of late—said in a July 21 press statement that he’s dedicated it to "anyone who has ever dared to dream big dreams and have high hopes."

At this writing, Barefoot and Crazy, the lead single from the Big Dreams & High Hopes, was at No. 11 on the country charts of industry trade Billboard, with no signs of stopping until it buzzed into the Top 10.

"I'm proud of this album like crazy," Ingram said of his current project."We started to put it out a few times earlier this year, but then I'd hold everything up and go back to the studio and tweak this or mess with that, but now I'm finally ready.”

Jack Ingram Calls on Hit Songwriters & Singers to Create New Country Album

As for the song material on the CD, “There are a few rowdy barroom sing-a-longs on there and also a few songs that are meant to be listened to when you're all alone. … Lots of long days and fun nights were spent making this one," he shared.

In creating his latest CD, Ingram collaborated with a who’s who list of top-notch artists, songwriters and producers, including Patty Griffin, who lends her vocals to the Ingram-penned Seeing Stars, as well as contemporary country’s Dierks Bentley, who stopped by to croon on Barbie Doll, a honky-tonk party number, as did Randy Houser, James Otto, Little Big Town and The Lost Trailers.

On the production side, Texas artist Radney Foster, along with Jay Joyce, Jeremy Stover and Doug Lancio, chipped in to oversee the CD’s production. Meanwhile, Ingram also rallied songwriting assistance from co-writers writers Jeffrey Steele, Rhett Akins, Mark D. Sanders, Darrell Brown, Dallas Davidson, Gary Burr and Tom Shapiro, among others, in creating his new record.

Texas Musician Aims to Set New Guinness World Book Record

As of part of his efforts to promote the album, Ingram will try to break the Guinness World Record for "Most Consecutive Radio Interviews In A 24-Hour Period" beginning in the wee hours of Aug. 25, the same day that Big Dreams & High Hopes becomes available for purchase.
